Poll result for who would win the UEFA Super Cup

Today's UEFA Super Cup between AC Milan (Champions League Winners) and Sevilla (UEFA Cup Winners) ended 3-1 in favor of Milan. Not only was this game about the meeting of two big European clubs, but more a celebration of the life of 22-year-old Sevilla midfielder Antonio Puerta who died after collapsing on the field last week.

With Sevilla opening the scoring in the first half, sending AC Milan into the locker room trailing by a goal, you could say that they were being led spiritually by their former teammate.

However, Milan, the champions of Europe, regained their form coming out of the locker room, and took the trophy after netting three in the second half. Although Sevilla looked inspired in the first half, it seemed their minds were somewhere else (and nobody will blame them for losing) as they could not keep possession of the ball or generate any real offense in the second half.

In honor of Puerta, both teams wore his name on their jerseys. Sevilla's Renato dedicated his goal to the late defender, while Milan players Clarence Seedorf and Kaka honored Puerta during Kaka's goal and Seedorf's subbing.

Poll Results: 147 votes

AC Milan to win: 80%

Sevilla to win: 20%
