Who is the best footballer in the world? That is an argument being had in bars and pubs around the world. FIFPro came up with their answer though when they named AC Milan forward Kaka was named World Player of the Year.

This prestigious award was voted on by the 45,000 members of the players' union.

FIFPro also voted on a World XI which included: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy/Juventus); Alessandro Nesta (Italy/AC Milan), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy/Real Madrid), John Terry (England/Chelsea), Carles Puyol (Spain/Barcelona). Steven Gerrard (England/Liverpool), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Manchester United), Kaka (Brazil/AC Milan), Lionel Messi (Argentina/Barcelona), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast/Chelsea), Ronaldinho (Brazil/Barcelona)

What do you think? Did they name the right person? Is there someone missing on the World IX you think should be added?
