Ebbsfleet United Weekly 1/11/08

Every week, I'm going to bring you the news and or the big issues going on at my club Ebbsfleet United. There are two major issues right now that are trying to be sorted out in the Ebbsfleet United message boards. One, should the manager have the final say in the squad selection, two, how are 28,000 people going to vote on the formation and who plays in that position.

This team selector here, is the one used on bbc.com, and is a quality idea. Unfortunately it doesn't help solve the problem of how to produce a team and formation that best reflects 28,000 different opinions. As well, newcomers like me who isn’t fully aware of the full squad and where each player is best, the names should be put into positions and how many appearances they have made for the side. Another thought is that the voters choose the best eleven and let Liam Daish, our manager, sort the formation out into a wining formula. Thus, a vote is going to come about to finalize in what manner we shall choose the side, players, formation, and what the manager will actually control in those scenarios.

It’s amazing the decisions that have to be made on a daily and weekly basis, and coordinating it with 28,000 voters is also difficult. But the process of controlling the club and discussing it with people from around the world is mind blowing. Hopefully by next week, the scenarios from above will be fixed and ready to go.
