Last night was the United Soccer League's championship match, and last night Seattle won the their fourth title 4-0 over the Atlanta Silverback

Sounders star and former Real Salt Lake player Leighton O'Brien was injuried in the 18th-minute, and Greg Howes came on as a substitute. Howes went on to score two goals and lead the team to win the game.

It's come to OBJ attention that at some point tomorrow the Minnesota Thunder will announce that they will be postponing the match between the Galaxy and the Thunder. The USL's Thunder seems to be a little luckier than other teams that were slated to play the Galaxy with Beckham, as the Thunder made sure that in the contract it stipulated that Beckham had to play. Very smart on the Thunder's side. Minnesota hopes they will find a date later in the fall, but with the Galaxy slated to leave for Australia late November...who knows when the game will be postponed for.

FC Dallas will join the New England Revolution for the Open Cup final. The road to the Open Cup final wasn't as easy for the MLS teams as it normally is. It seems that the USL teams like the Carolina Railhawks and Seattle Sounders can give MLS a run for their money.

The Revs took on the Carolina Railhawks, and the Railhawks took an early lead, scoring on Matt Reis and the Revs defense within the first six minutes of the game. Before the game was over - the revs scored two goals, including one in the 93rd minute. A total of three players were ejected from the game.

FC Dallas had just as hard time as the Revs trying to beat the USL's Seattle Sounders. No one scored for either team until the first overtime - when Carlos Ruiz found the back of the net. Abe Thompson's penalty kick goal was all the team needed to put themselves in the final.
